LOOL FILMS is an emergent and independent film distribution company founded by the Mexicans film programmers Itzel Razo and collaborators. Based in Dublin, our mission is to create a connection between Irish and Mexican cinema on a global scale. We aim to enhance the visibility of both, European and Mexican films within the international film industry through international exhibition and promotion.
We believe in cinema as a medium for storytelling to share memories and experiences. Passionate about our role, we dream of empowered films that deserve to be seen by offering a range of film services, including marketing, publicity, sales, cinema bookings, festival strategy and market representation.
Itzel Razo, our Head of Programme holds a degree in Communication and Journalism from UNAM in Mexico, and a Master’s in Arts Management and Creative Producing from University College Cork in Dublin.
She brings extensive experience in both commercial and cultural film programming across Mexico and Latin America. Her professional journey includes key roles with renowned organizations such as Cineteca Nacional, Mantícora Distribución, and Alebrije Cine y Video. Alongside her institutional work, she has also operated independently, specializing in the acquisition and sale of film rights, and contributing to the curation and programming of Mexican film festivals.
